82, of Scottsdale, AZ passed away on December 17, 2015. Gilbert (Gil) Chalfin, beloved husband, father, uncle and grandfather (Poppi), is preceded in death by his wife Eleanor Chalfin, his parents, and two sisters. He is survived by his children William Chalfin, Bradley Chalfin (Sallie), and one daughter Carren Navin. He will be greatly missed by his 7 grandchildren Tyler Chalfin, Amber Chalfin, Anthony Enrico, Marlo Enrico, Samantha Navin, Nicolette Navin, and Isabelle Navin. Gil was born on June 22nd, 1933, in Brooklyn, New York, to William and Celia Chalfin. In 1951, he married Eleanor Wilson while serving in the Army as an ammunition specialist. After receiving an Honorable Discharge in 1954, he moved to Long Island, NY to raise their family. In 1979, he made AZ his new home. Gil was a people person spending over 30 years selling Cadillacs to his family of customers. He will forever be remembered as the story teller’ as he had a library full within his mind. Gil also loved to travel with his wife and together they shared many memorable cruises and vacations around the world. He will be so greatly missed although his spirit will live on in the hearts of those whose lives he touched.
