Gilbert Durward “Shorty” Edgell, 55, of Clarksburg passed away December 10, 2013 at United Hospital Center. He was born February 14, 1958 in Clarksburg; son of George McKinley and Delma Clarice Yarnell Edgell. Gilbert is survived by his former wife, Ivena Ann Whaley Edgell; five children, Shawn D. and Ashley Edgell, Clestina Edgell, Lonzo D. and Sheila Whaley, Cherish “Nikki” Whaley and companion Albert, Donald Edgell all of Clarksburg; one grandson, Malachi Murphy; one sister, Crystal and Doug Ramsey of Shinnston; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
