Gilbert leaves to cherish his beautiful memory, his loving wife, Delfia De La Fuente; three children, Jesus De La Fuente (Lynette), Gilbert De La Fuente Jr. (Anandi), and Dale De La Fuente (Crystal); grandchildren, Vittoria De La Fuente, Joshua De La Fuente, Nicholas De La Fuente, Jonathan De La Fuente, and Joaquin De La Fuente; and three sisters, Lydia Luna, Virginia Zuniga, and Bea Rangel.
