Di Martino Gilbert D. Di Martino, age 83, of Norwood, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on May 5, 2021. Gilbert worked as a truck driver and sales representative for Amoroso Bakery for many years. Husband of the late Philomena (De Prince), father of the late Gilbert Di Martino, Peter Di Martino, grandfather of the late Matthew Di Martino, brother of the late Louis Di Martino, son of the late Louis & Lucy Di Martino. Loving father of Michael (Vickie) Di Martino also survived by his grandchildren Hollie(Nick), Michael, Melissa(Ed), Amanda(Chris), Vanessa(Mike), Dominique(Nick), Desiree and Sheri And his great grandchildren Nicholas, Dominic, Mariyah, Jason, Nicholas, Sienna, Christopher, and Elijah. Gilbert was born and raised in Philadelphia. He graduated from John Bartram High School. He married his loving wife in September 1959 and together they made a beautiful family. Gilbert could be described as a great man. He lived his life making sure that everyone in his family was provided for. Aside from being a hard worker, he was always a great listener. He enjoyed giving his opinions on various topics and always spoke up if he felt there was an injustice being done. He enjoyed drawing, writing, and spending time with his family and friends who were always like family.
