Gilbert C. McNie III of Orlando, FL. formerly a lifelong resident of Mount Washington, PA passed away December 24, 2021 with his daughter by his side. Son of the late Gilbert and Helen McNie. Beloved father of Gilbert IV and his wife Amy, Angela and the late Heather McNie. Cherished brother of Kelly McNie. Beloved Uncle of Robin and Randi Campbell. Cherished boyfriend of Regina Balanti.
Gilbert, more affectionately known as Gibby, devoted his life to his family. He was a funny, kind man who loved to tell a joke just to make someone smile, although he always laughed more at the jokes himself. An avid Pittsburgh Steeler and Penguins fan, he never lost faith in his teams or his city- even when having faith was hard. Gibby always made time for his family and friends whom he cherished with all of his heart, but where he truly shined was as a father; his children learned kindness, generosity, and unyielding love from the example their father set for them, and they will carry those lessons on in honor of his memory. He was a man who needed little in life to be happy, but who brought happiness into the lives of everyone he met.
We will be celebrating Gibby’s life and the joy he brought to us all on January 21, 2022 at 10:00 A.M.
