Gervase J. Johnson, 77, of Fountain Hill, died Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at St. Luke’s University Hospital, Fountain Hill. He was the husband of Jane (Ryan) Johnson for 57 years. Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Gervase and Anna (Cruise) Johnson. He was a 1953 graduate of Bethlehem Catholic High School and later attended Lehigh University. Gervase was a 10 year veteran of the Army National Guard and a 20 year veteran of the Navy Reserve until retiring in 1990. He worked for FEMA as a field agent reservist from 1990 until present and was also a field agent for Prudential Life Insurance Co., for 34 years. He was a member of St. Ursula’s Catholic Church. His greatest love was spending time with his family. Survivors: in addition to his wife Jane are daughters Patricia Johnson and her husband Nicholas Ampietro of Allentown, Loretta Wood and her husband Peter of Bethlehem; sons Michael Johnson of Paoli, Gerald Johnson and his wife Linda of Bloomington, MN, David Johnson and his wife Donna of Fountain Hill; sister Catherine Berg and her husband LeRoy of Tampa, FL; brother Kenneth Johnson and his wife Gloria of Bethlehem; grandchildren Kels, Trevor, Benjamin, Aimee, Kayla, Victoria, Nicholas, Leo and Nicolas.
