Gertrude “Gertie” Buechler, a beloved mother, wife, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2016, at the grand age of 96 years (born: October 1, 1920).
Gertie was born in Custer, Montana, the daughter of Anton Yankoski and Gertrude Rukas. She lived in the Fromberg and Bridger, Montana area while raising five children. She moved to Castle Rock, Colorado in 1983 and lived there until her passing.
Gertie is survived by four of her children, William, Anton, Arthur and Connie; 7 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren, as well as countless friends and family throughout Montana and Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Tefil Buechler, her brother Leon Yankoski, and her beloved daughter Gertrude (“Trudie”) McCollum.
