Gertrude “Trudy” Morrissey, 96, of Ooltewah, TN, celebrated her earthly life until passing into eternity on Saturday, July 9, 2011. She has giggled, teased and laughed her way since her birth in Buffalo, NY. She and her deceased husband, Phillip Morrissey, owned and operated The Marie Antoinette and other gift shops, and rental properties near Stroudsburg, PA. At the young age of 93, she moved to Tennessee to celebrate her remaining years. She will be remembered by children: daughter, Diana Balli, and sons, Phillip “Pat” Morrissey and James “Jim” Morrissey. Grandchildren are Denise Reed, Shamirom “Shami” Rhoades, Christiana “Tina”, James “Jamie”, and Nicholas “Nick” Morrissey. Great-grandchildren are Randa and Austin Rhoades. Daughter, Diana, resides in Ooltewah, TN. Denise and husband, Michael Reed, and his children and grandchildren reside in Tennessee and Georgia. Shami, Randa and Austin reside in Ooltewah, TN. Son, Pat, resides in Stroudsburg, PA. Son, Jim, and wife, Frances Morrissey, along with Tina, Jamie, and Nick reside in Baltimore, MD. Others joyfully reminisce about her life with them include many extended family members across the country. Family and friends will receive and celebrate Trudy’s life Monday, July 11, 2011, 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Heritage Park 1428 Jenkins Road, Chattanooga, TN.
