Gertrude Elizabeth Moore, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2021 at the age of 98. Born in Youngwood, PA , on Nov. 6, 1922 to Mrs. Elizabeth Takage. She was a long time resident of Alexandria, VA and member of St. Rita’s Parish from 1943-1957, and Blessed Sacrament Parish from 1957 until her death.
Gertrude retired from a rewarding career in the United States Government, during which time she worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Dept. of Agriculture in Washington D.C., and the Defense Supply Agency at Cameron Station.
Gertrude was preceded in death by her loving husband Walter T. Moore, son Thomas J. Moore, and grandson, Michael P. O’Halloran. She is survived by her daughter, Donna L. Moore O’Halloran, 2 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 2 great, great grandchildren.
