Gertrude Ann “Trudy” Carran went to her eternal rest on Monday, April 19, 2021. Trudy was born on October 21, 1935, in New Castle Pennsylvania to the late Joseph and Rose (Cicerone) Marchionda. On February 17, 1951, she married Nicholas R. Carran, Jr. and they spent over 58 years together until his passing on August 11, 2009.
In October of 1966, Nick and Trudy relocated their family of five boys to Palm Beach Gardens Florida, and then subsequently relocated to Okeechobee Florida. In 1971 Trudy began a long career in banking. She was a branch manager and enjoyed working with the public. Trudy retired after over 35 years in banking from Barnett Bank, now known as Bank of America.
Trudy is survived by her sons, Joseph of Inverness, FL, Frank (Cecilia) of Okeechobee, FL, Deacon John (Robin) of New Castle, PA, and Russell (Veronica) of Greenville, SC; 14 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and several cousins.
In addition to her parents and husband, Trudy was preceded in death by her son, Nicholas J. Carran; and two daughters-in-law, Tammy Carran and Esther Carran.
