Gertie L. Dockery Bland passed away on January 17, 2013 in Roy. She was born February 5, 1937 in Buckner Arkansas the daughter of Calline Gantt and Darie Dockery. She lived in Lake Village, AK, Lawton, OK, Germany, Michigan and Oakland, CA. She married Royal Bland in Lawton, OK; later divorced.
Gertie was a member of New Zion Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing, puzzles, and Jazz basketball.
She is survived by her son, Kenny Bland; brother, Olies (Mary) Dockery; 5 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Wade Dockery and sisters, Thelma Tucker and Silver Clark.
