Gerrol Dougless Sullivan died May 31, 2014 at his home in Wagarville,AL at age 80.  He was a native and resident of Washington County. Gerrol served in the US Army and spent time in Germany. He was a member of Victory Grove Church, Wagarville, AL. Gerrol was an American Musician, Gospel Singer & Songwriter since 1947. He played the flat top guitar, banjo, mandolin, and the upright bass fiddle. He was also a Singer, Songwriter and entertainer. In 1978 his daughter Tammy, joined him in his music profession, playing at the Grand Ole Opry, Nashville TN. One of his songs was nominated for a Grammy award. They are in the Country Music Hall Of Fame, And The Alabama Music Hall Of Fame. They toured in Ireland, and other countries, winning the IBMA Award (International Bluegrass Music Association Award). He was married to the late Zelma Sullivan over 50 years.
