Gerran Clayton Copeland, age 17, went to be with the Lord on Sunday morning, his life tragically cut short. Gerran entered into life on February 9, 1990 and entered into rest on August 19, 2007. He was born on Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland.
Gerran believed in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and tried to walk as Jesus did. He served as a youth leader in the Hurlburt Chapel Special Operations Youth group.
Gerran was a member of the Young Eagles and flew a C-172 at the age of 13 in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Wright Brothers’ first flight. His name has been permanently entered in the world’s largest logbook at the EAA AirVenture Museum in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
Inspired by an assignment at Navarre High School Gerran dreamed of becoming an FBI agent. Gerran has so many friends, family, youth group members, and mentors he wishes to bid farewell to, but he’d like to say a special goodbye to his life long friends Mark and John….thank you both for being there for our son! And from your special buddy Ashleigh, I love you. Out of the body, in the presence of the Lord…Gerran your Mom and I miss you terribly.
Gerran is survived by his Mother and Father, Susan and Greg; sisters Ashleigh and Aften; Grandparents, Charles and Linda; Grandparents, Oma and Opa; Omi; Great Grandmother Wauneta; Aunts and Uncles, Jerri and Mark, Lori and Richard, Glen and Susan, and Jimmy.
