Germania Roman, 84, passed away on February 7, 2021. She was born on March 16, 1936. Germania had a vibrant and exuberant spirit. She was outgoing, full of life, and willing to hold a conversation with any stranger she met. Aside from being a people person, Germania loved playing pool, singing karaoke, laughing, and hosting parties. Germania was a masterful culinary chef. Her skills and expertise propelled her to serving as a cook for the US Navy. Her favorite dishes to cook were Spanish food and seafood. Not only was she a great cook but Germania was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend.
Germania was preceded in death by her husband, Julio Figueroa; her parents, Pelegrin Roman and Matilde Pellot.
She leaves to cherish her memories two children, Carmen Gonzalez (Tomas) and Lillian Figueroa; daughter in law Nelida Alicea; five grandchildren, Andre DeJesus (Melissa), Taisha Figueroa, Christina Gonzalez (Meric Williams), Monica Rodriguez, and Jennifer Figueroa, eight great-grandchildren, Mya Williams, Terrance Tripplet, Ezra Stanley, Geovanni DeJesus, Alicia DeJesus, Julio Figueroa Jr. and Elaina Calhoun; one niece Evelyn Silveri and a host of friends.
