German Junior Ortiz, 52, of Clarksburg, passed away Thursday, December 12, 2013 at the VA Hospital in Oakland, PA following an extended illness. He was born in Cleveland, OH on September 12, 1961, the son of German Elsa Ortiz of Cleveland, OH and the late Isidora Orellano Ortiz. He is survived by his wife Charlene Ann Anderson Ortiz of Clarksburg, three children; James Phares and wife Becky of Clarksburg, Thomas Phares of Clarksburg and Alex Phares and wife Nicole of Cleveland, OH; father and mother-in-law; Charles and Judy Anderson of Clarksburg; sisters in law; Virginia Katie Mace of Clarksburg and Patricia Anderson and husband Hector of Cleveland, OH; four grandchildren; Aiden, Addison, Gabriel and Brooklyn; two sisters Idalia Ortiz of Cleveland, OH and Miriam Laureno and husband Fermin of Puerto Rico; three brothers; Angelo Ortiz and wife Cynthia of Cleveland, OH, Bennito Ortiz and wife Lisa and Jose Ortiz of Cleveland, OH; nieces and nephews; Kayla and husband Matt, Karlos, Geiovanni, Isaida, Gloria, Joel, Angelo, Cinthia, Fermin, Jose, Sharinna, Anissa, Lasandra, several great nieces and nephews; as well as several cousins and great friends. In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by one son; Adam Phares. Junior served in the United States Army, worked as an appliance technician for 12 years for CMHA and he loved all sports, especially softball games in Cleveland.
