Gerardo “Gordy” Garcia, Jr., 35, entered the Lord’s heavenly kingdom on Friday, November 23, 2018.
Gerardo was born on December 28, 1982 in Harlingen, Texas to Haroldo Garcia, Sr. & Alma Soto Garcia. He attended Harlingen High School and played football for the Harlingen Cardinals as a running back. Gordy was also a roofer in the construction industry.
He is preceded in death by his father, Haroldo Garcia, Sr.; uncle, Santos Garcia; paternal grandfather, Cirildo Garcia; and maternal grandfather, Manuel Soto. He touched many hearts & will be greatly missed by all.
Gerardo is survived by his loving family to cherish his wonderful memory, his beloved wife of 17 years, Pamela “Pam” Valdez; children, Derrik A. Garcia, Jarod M. Garcia, & Sadie J. Garcia; mother, Alma Garcia; sister, Aurora B. Garcia (J.D. Salomon); nephew, Jaydyn Ramiro; niece, Jenika Dannielle; maternal grandmother, Isabel Garcia; paternal grandmother, Juana Garcia; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, & friends.
Gerardo adored and was most proud of his three children, Derrik, who is a running back at San Antonio Wagoner High School; Jarod, who plays football for Judson Middle School and also attends JSTEM in San Antonio; and Sadie, who cheers for the Star Vipers.
