Gerard H. “Jerry” McQuillen Jr., 45, of 20 Cherokee Lane, lost his battle with cancer, Wednesday, October 5, 2011, at the Gatehouse Hospice surrounded by his family.
Jerry and his wife, the former Juanita R. “Rosie” Cendoma, observed their 21st anniversary on April 28.
Jerry was employed by the Williamsport Area School District for 24 years. He was a member of the Republican Club, the Locker Room and the Harmonia Club. He was an avid Notre Dame fan and bled blue and gold. He enjoyed camping, fishing, yard work, surf fishing and loved the family vacations at the beach.
Born September 20, 1966 in Williamsport, he was the son of Gerard H. Sr. and Anne M. Janson McQuillen.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his parents, “Shorty” and Anne; sons, Matthew T. (Melanie) all of Williamsport and Nickolas G. at home; sisters, Debbie (John) Grado of Williamsport, Marianne (Dave) Rupert of South Williamsport and Laurie (Dick) Stryker of Muncy and a grandson, Kaden Matthew McQuillen.
