Geraldine V. Hathcoat Hines, 86, Anderson, passed away November 17, 2010 at St. Johns Health System, Anderson, Indiana after a brief illness. She was born July 14, 1924 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, and resided in Anderson most of her life. She was a 1945 graduate of Anderson High School, where she met the love of her life, and her husband of 59 years, Jack Hines. They were married on July 14, 1949.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a homemaker her entire life and her greatest joy was time spent with her family at cookouts and birthday celebrations. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Larry wife Peggy Hines of Anderson; her sister, Janet husband Frank Tuckerman of Pendleton; grandchildren, Nicholas Hines of Anderson, Chris wife Dawn Hines of Anderson, Jennifer husband Bob Beiers of Greenwood and Julie husband Eric Lierman of Anderson; great grandchildren, Michaella Lierman and Aubrey Lynn Hines both of Anderson; nieces and nephews, Lisa husband Brian Bauman of Cicero, Mike wife Angie Tuckerman of Windermere, Florida; and great nieces and great nephews, Corey Scott and Chase Scott of Cicero, and Michael Tuckerman and Kayla Tuckerman of Windermere, Florida.

She was preceded by in death by her husband, Jack Hines; parents, Bennett and Alma Hathcoat; son, David Hines, and her brother, Bob Hathcoat. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt and special thank you to the following; the staff of Countryside Manor, especially to “Tommie”, Amanda, Angie, Mattie, Jasmine, Dahlia, Kym May and Rosie; the members of Geraldine’s “Red Lobster Family”, especially to Amy, Lindsey, and Angie; the staff of the St. John’s Cancer Center, especially to Dr. Darrel Ross, radiation oncology nurse, Jenny Scott, RN; St. John’s ER attending physician, Dr. Beeson, and Geraldine’s family physician, Dr. Mark Lawlor.
