SONKE, Mrs. Geraldine P. “Aunt Gerrie”, Kalamazoo, MI. Died Monday evening August 29, 2009 at her residence. Geraldine was born October 9, 1933 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a daughter of Albert and Gertrude Dean Vance.
She had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed as Washington Square School Crossing Guard with the Kalamazoo Police Department for 19 years before retiring.
She was also a member of the Portage Moose Lodge #88. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Sallie Williams. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
