Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Geraldine graduated from Northwestern University School of Commerce in Evanston, Illinois, where she and Dave, her husband of 66 years, first fell in love while he was pouring her coffee in her sorority house. An avid golfer and member of both the Philadelphia Country Club in Pennsylvania and Sugar Mill Country Club in New Smyrna Beach, she was most famous for the matching golf skirts and accessories she designed and sewed for herself and all of her friends.
A loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by 1 son, David John and his wife Sheila of Inverness, Florida; 3 daughters, Nancy Anne Brighton of Port Orange, Susan Joan Accorsi of Sebring, Florida, and Mary Ellen Gorshing of Loveland, Colorado; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and her dog, Scooter. Mrs. Getzoff was preceded in death by her husband, David Fayman Getzoff in 2009.
