Our beloved Geraldine “Jerri” Kay Holscher passed away on January 22, 2021 at the age of 77 in Littleton, Colorado. Born on April 1st 1943 in Gordon Nebraska, she was the youngest of nine children of John and Katherine Kamerzell. After her mother passed away when Jerri was young, she moved to South Dakota with one of her sisters and went on to graduate high school in Watertown, South Dakota in 1961. Merle and Jerri moved to Denver in 1963. They started a family in 1970 and gave birth to their daughter, Robyn Michelle, and then welcomed their son, Derek Dean, in 1973.
Before retiring in 2009, she worked for 13 years with Kaiser Permanente as a telecommunications analyst. In December of 2012, Jerri was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, and began treatment with a full recovery by the end of 2014. In the fall of 2020, her cancer returned. She began treatments again and was scheduled for surgery in February of this year to remove the tumor. Due to the onset of other health complications, she passed away unexpectedly in St. Joseph’s hospital early morning, January 22nd.
