Geraldine Lou Hadley, age 55, was born on May 17, 1965 in her hometown of Tuba City, Arizona. Geri was a full-blooded Navaho Indian. She was a woman who was quite and sweet and always had a smile for you. She was a true believer in treat others as you would want to be treated. She would give to others with not wanting anything in return. She was tough, hardworking, determined, dedicated, loyal, honest, and a woman of faith. She had respect for all of God’s creatures. She had a soft spot for stray cats, she would go out and feed strays on her lunch break and her days off come rain or shine. Geri moved to the south in August 1996 and lived in Chattanooga, Tennessee and Dalton, Georgia since. She worked for Wal-Mart from May 31, 1989 through June 3, 2020. She was a dedicated associate for 31 years at store 5173. She was known as “Miss Geri.” She will be missed greatly. On June 3, 2020 at 7:40 AM Geri lost her battle with cancer at Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton. She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Hadley. She is survived by her mother, Marilou K. Benally; sister, Gloria M. Hadley; brother, Nathaniel Kaya; sister, Melissa R. Benally; nieces, Ashley R. Fisher, Amber M. Fisher, Filyssa D. Nez; nephew, Draceson D. L. Nez.
