Geraldine Gail Williams, 77, passed away peacefully at Portneuf Medical Center August 2, 2019 with her family by her side.
She was born in Pocatello, Idaho, March 18, 1942 to Simon Williams and Irene Shay Williams.
Geraldine graduated from Pocatello High School and Haskell Indian Junior College in Lawrence, Kansas. She was hired by the Bureau of Indian Affairs in 1962 where she was employed for 40 years. She married Larry Edmo in 1963 and they later divorced in the mid 70s.
She was always very active and kept busy throughout her lifetime. Until her passing she was on the Tribal Enrollment Committee. Prior to that, she was on the Tribal Gaming Commission.
Her hobbies included dancing in the golden traditional category, going to the casino to play Bingo or the machines and traveling with the Elderly Nutrition Program. She loved attending the Shoshone-Bannock Festival, as well as out of state powwows.
