Geraldine Clark Nelson
Mrs. Nelson, age 91, died August 27, 2010 at Aldersgate Retirement Community in Charlotte. Gerry was born on September 16, 1918 in Omaha, Nebraska to the late Joel Clark and Regina Clark Synek. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Roy. Before moving to Charlotte in 2004, Gerry was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Livonia, MI and was retired from the business office at Kroger.
She will be remembered for her abiding love for her family. She is survived by her son Randy (Carolyn) of Charlotte; daughters Joyce Nelson of Livonia, MI and Susan Smith (Kip) of Lummi Island, WA; grandchildren Allen Nelson (Amy), Jodie Nelson Dunn (MacRae), and Jenni Smith; sister-in-law Cathy Nelson; and several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Aldersgate for the loving care they gave to Gerry and also wishes to thank the staff associated with Hospice.
