Geraldine Woodham Adams Almond, 90, of West Harrison, Indiana, died on February 21, 2014, at Brookville Healthcare Center in Brookville, IN. She was born February 5, 1924 in Opp, Alabama, to Taylor Nelson and Minnie Wiggins Woodham.
Survivors include daughters: Shirley (David) Wiesman, and Cindy (Larry) Matthews, both of West Harrison, Indiana; daughter-in-law, Dr. Elizabeth Thomason of The Villages, FL; granddaughters Linda Shelly Scannell of Baton Rouge, LA, and Kelly Jaye Strickland of Northport, AL. She is also survived by her late husband’s sons, Paul (Barbara) Almond of Gulf Breeze, FL and Leslie Almond of Navarre, FL; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Walter Mark Thomason; husbands, Otis Thomason, Edward L. Adams, and Glenn C. Almond; and thirteen siblings.
Geraldine was a long-time resident of Fort Walton Beach, Florida where she lived after retiring with her husband, Edward, from their sand company in Mossy Head, Florida. Geraldine loved fishing, traveling, reading and playing cards with her friends. She was a member of the Ft.
