Gerald Woodke, 90, passed away Friday, July 11, 2014, at his residence. Gerald was born in Lowell on October 1, 1923, the son of Edward and Miranda (Werblo) Woodke both deceased. On October 16, 1945, he married Tresa DeYoung and she survives. Gerald proudly served in the US Army during WWII and was a former member of the First Reformed Church of DeMotte. Gerald had worked as an inspector at Northway Products for 25 years and spent many years working as a farmer.
Surviving Gerald is his loving wife Tresa, Children Gary L (Karen) Woodke of Rensselaer, Carol J (Richard) Kohlhagen of Rensselaer and Marvin L Woodke of Monterey, IN; sister Gladys Osburn of Hebron; 12 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, 6 brothers and 3 sisters.
