Mr. Wolff died Friday, May 22, 2015, at the Deer Valley Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ.
Gerald was born on March 19, 1938, in Norfolk, the son of Haven and Marjorie (Sevening) Wolff. He attended rural school and was raised on the family farm.
Gerald enlisted in the United States Marines on February 7, 1956. He earned his honorable discharge on February 6, 1958.
He returned to farming in the Norfolk area.
On July 10, 1958, Gerald married Sandra Uecker. The couple farmed southeast of Norfolk for 52 years before retiring in 2010. They enjoyed wintering in Arizona and returning to Nebraska in the summer months.
Gerald enjoyed riding horses, hunting, fishing and cooking. He was known for his sausage making and canning abilities. However, Geralds passion was for his family.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years; their three daughters: Jane Uhlir, Cheryl and Mark Hyatt, and Sue and Ray Wilke, Jr. all of Norfolk; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; one sister, Carol and Dick Sanderson, of Norfolk.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Jeff, and son-in-law, Kevin Uhlir.
