Jerry Teiken passed away Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Northern Pines Assisted Living in Pine City at the age of 79.
Gerald William Teiken was born September 19, 1942 to William and Erma (Kasparek) Teiken on the family farm in Crow Wing County, Minnesota. Jerry attended school in Aitkin and graduated from the Aitkin High School. After high School he was in the Minnesota National Guard and attended Staples Trade School.
Jerry specialized in technology development and new product development for 3M Maplewood.
When Eric was young and in cub scouts, Jerry was a Cub Scout Master. When not working, Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and golfing. Many times you could find him volunteering at the Pine City Food Shelf or delivering Meals on Wheels.
Jerry is survived by his son Eric Teiken; grandson Ryan Teiken; great-grandsons Oliver Teiken, Odin Teiken; siblings Mary Jo Best of Brainerd, Shirley (Tom) Gravelle of Aitkin, Lorraine Mullen of Princeton; step-children Jeff (Sheryle) Colombo of New Richmond, John (Tami) Colombo of Stillwater; many step-grandchildren; ex-wife Karen Teiken of White Bear Lake; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents William and Erma Teiken; brother-in-law Roger Best.
