Passed away peacefully on February 9, 2017 at age 86 surrounded by his family. Preceded in death by parents George and Rose Kelly; siblings Frances (Melvin) Breault, Robert (Harriet) Kelly, Arthur (Elda) Kelly, Audrey (James) Slette, Marie O’Malley, and George (Sylvia) Kelly; son-in-law Michael Tierney; and brother-in-law Harold Kimmel. Survived by his wife Char of 61 years; children Tom (Laurie) Kelly, Sue Tierney, Mary Jo Kelly, Terry (Steve) Thorp; grandchildren Andrew Kelly, Mollie Kelly (David Fessler), Katherine (Albert) Gross, Margaret Kelly, Meghan (Matthew) Hultman, Michael Tierney, Mary (Nate) Halverson, Margaret Tierney, Christine Kelly, Mae Thorp, Ava Thorp; and great-grandson Albert Gross. Gerald had a long career at the General Accounting Office followed by ten plus years at the Nativity Parish. He enjoyed his family, golf, and sports.
