Gerald Thomas “Gop” Taylor, 86, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 19, 2014 in his home that he built himself in 1974.
He was born August 9th, 1927 in Montville, CT, the son of the late Leroy Taylor and Irene Rogers. He was married to the late Mary Ellen Kingsley on November 5th, 1956.
He was a beloved husband, wonderful father and grandfather. He worked as a truck driver and was a Teamster until he retired in 1988. He loved classic movies and Frank Sinatra music.
He was survived a daughter Christina Hebert and husband Peter of Danielson, CT; a son Steven Taylor of Lisbon, CT; three grandsons: Kyle Hebert of Montville, CT; Jerald Hebert of Sioux City, SD; Michael Hebert of New York and a granddaughter Janelle Hebert of Titusville, FL plus two sisters and a brother and several nieces and nephews.
