He transitioned to Glory surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 13, 1944 in Providence, RI, the first of three children born to Gerald R. and Elsie M. (Fletcher) Hill.
Gerald was blessed with one daughter Bluejay Michelle M. Hill (RI), two grandchildren, Mylicia Michelle Pankey (MA) and Lance Charles Huggins (TX), and one great granddaughter, Awilda Huggins; siblings Edith F. Hill and Elizabeth (Aldwyn) Reid; special cousin Deborah Moore; nephew Robert Alves, Jr. and niece Leisha S. Nicol (Chicago) and a host of family members and friends.
