Gerald “Jerry” R. Taylor, Sr., 65, of Seymour entered into rest Nov. 22, 2010 with his family by his side. He fought a courageous battle leaving behind his beloved sons & their wives, Jerry & Lisa Taylor of Shelton, Joey & Kim of Davenport, FL., cherished grandchildren Dallas, Emily, Dylan, Christopher, Maxwell & Zack, sisters Annie Litchinwald, Jeanie Taylor, Dolores Hernandez-Taylor & brothers Kenneth Taylor and Charlie Hall. Several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Leonard Taylor. Jerry was born to the late Gerald and Helena Taylor on June 6, 1945 in Bridgeport, where he spent most of his life. He served two tours of duty in the United States Army during Vietnam, receiving several medals and was awarded the Purple Heart. From age 16, he worked for F.M. Testani formally Robert M Malm in Fairfield until retirement. When not working, Jerry spent countless hours at Bonds Dock crabbing and fishing with his son & grandchildren.
