Gerald P.”Jerry” Deprey, 70, of Bristol, formerly of Green Sea, SC and Higganum, CT, passed away on August 24, 2017 at Country Side Manor in Bristol.
Jerry was born on January 27, 1947, in Soldier Pond, Maine, son to the late Louis P. Deprey Sr. and Ursule (Bouchard) Deprey. He was a hard worker who enjoyed his endeavors throughout his working years. He established a career in truck driving and was employed by BW Brown Trucking in Berlin for over 25 years and later worked for Westbrook Block in Westbrook. In addition, he was the former owner of Family Market for 5 years and D.J.’s Package Store for 10 years, both located in Bristol. Jerry was a family man with a heart of gold and adored animals, especially his dogs. He loved gardening and being outdoors. In his younger years, he enjoyed working on and racing cars.
Jerry is survived by his son, Bryan Deprey, of Plainville; his daughter, Brenda Jannotta, of Fairfield; his son, Scott Deprey, of Plainville; his step-son Jonathon Deprey; his sisters, Dorothy LaBelle, of Plainville and Janice Poliquin, of Bristol; his cousin, who was more like a brother to him, Larry Gorneault and his wife, Eileen, of SC; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Jerry was predeceased by his son, Jeffrey Deprey and his brothers, Donald Deprey and Louis Deprey Jr.
