Gerald Lewis Brown, Jr., 87, of O’Fallon, IL, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022, at Aviston Countryside Manor. Gerald was born in Springfield, IL on April 17, 1934. After his discharge from the U.S. Army, Gerald enjoyed world travel with his wife. He also loved to collect train memorabilia, so much so that his grandchildren called him “Grandpa Choo Choo.”
Gerald was also a member of a Catholic parish wherever he lived. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; Gerald Lewis and Margaret Brown, Sr. (nee Trinkle), his beloved wife; Margaret “Jackie” Brown (nee Remacle), his brother; Jack Brown, and his son-in-law; Chip Barber. Gerald is survived by his five children; Gerald L. “Butch” (Donna) Brown, III of Naples, FL, Mary Beth (Art) Quinn of Bluffton, SC, Kathy Barber of Destin, FL, Roger (Donna) Brown of O’Fallon, IL, and Anne (Mike) Johnson of Las Vegas, NV, thirteen grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
