Gerald L. Wadleigh, age 98, of Geneva, passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at his daughter’s home in Batavia with his loving family by his side.
He was born April 9, 1923 in Chicago, the son of Gerald and Eileen (Beagle) Wadleigh.
Gerald served in the army during WWII and then graduated from Ripon College in Wisconsin. He worked for Travelers Insurance Company. After retiring, he worked at Ace Hardware in Geneva for his good friend Bill Rosenfelder.
He is survived by his children William “Bill” of Geneva and Judy (Rich) Flores of Batavia; grandchildren Ryan and Kyle Flores and Jessica and Jerry Wadleigh; great granddaughters Maya and Noemi Flores; and many other dear relatives and friends.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, sister Betty Cook, and his devoted wife of nearly 70 years June who passed away in 2020.
