Gerald “Jerry” Kochka, 83 of Grafton passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born April 9, 1939 in Truxall, PA., son of the late Albert C. and Jane Kwaitkowski Kochka. Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Sondra Sue Reed Kochka, they were married on July 24, 1981. Spending more than forty-one years together.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Jane Kochka, a brother Paul Kochka, a brother in-law James Lucas and an infant grandson Derek Kelley.
In addition to his wife, Jerry is survived by seven children, Kimberly Bryant (Mike), Russell Kochka (Danielle), Stacey Rogers, Kandie Humphrey (Duke), Stephanie Neason (Robbie), Michael Kochka (Beth), Anthony Forte, Jr. (Buffy) and sister in-law Becky Lucas. Also surviving are two brothers, Albert Kochka (Nancy), and Donald Kochka, (Mary Ann), fifteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Jerry was a Unites States Air Force veteran serving four years. He was a member of the St. Augustine Catholic Church and an active member of the Knights and Columbus, Council 713 serving as a Grand Knight from 2008-2013 and Deputy Grand Knight from 2013 til present. Jerry loved hunting, fishing, gardening, and canning. He was proud to have his kids follow in his footsteps planting gardens and canning. Most of all he loved his family with all his heart. He will be missed beyond eternity.
