Jerry was born in Detroit, Michigan and received undergraduate and advanced physics degrees from the University of Detroit. He was a Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps, building and operating radio stations during the Korean War.

In his professional career he was a program manger with Bendix Research Laboratories, managing numerous NASA satellite missions including the Skylab space station.

Following his retirement, he became a professor of physics, mathematics, and astronomy at the University of Colorado at Denver, Metropolitan State University, and adjunct professor at multiple community colleges.

Jerry served as director or commissioner of several organizations including Credit Union of Colorado and Meadowbrook Water District. He was also a private pilot, a HAM radio operator, a real estate broker, and a Certified Public Accountant.

As an active member of his community, Jerry sang with Sound of the Rockies Barbershop Chorus and volunteered at Craig Hospital, Samaritan House, and Littleton Town Hall Arts Center.

He is survived by his brother, Patrick, and his loving children: Jerry Jr., Joy-Charity, Faith, Jim, Meghan, Michael, and their families.
