Mr. Gerald “Jerry” Ray Folsom age 68 of Grand Ridge passed away at his home on Thursday, April 22, 2010 after an extended illness. Mr. Folsom was lifelong resident of Jackson County and of the Baptist Faith. He enjoyed reading about history, enjoyed fishing and hunting, restoring old vehicles, and was a country musician. Mr. Folsom was a professional contractor for J& D Construction and was retired from the Department of Corrections as a Vocational Instructor. He was preceded in death by his mother, Annie M. Folsom and his infant sister, Sandra Nan Folsom. Mr. Folsom is survived by his father, Ray M. Folsom of Grand Ridge, Fl; one son, Gary A. Folsom and his wife LeAnn of Marianna, Fl; one daughter, Tanya S. Anderson and husband Jeff of Port Orange, FL; one brother, Jimmy D. Folsom and his wife Linda of Grand Ridge, FL; one sister, Jan Cook and husband Bobby of Grand Ridge, FL; three grandchildren, Cessna Folsom, Aerial Folsom and Brady Anderson and a host of nieces and nephews.
