Obituary of Gerald “Jerry” Brutkiewicz
Gerald (Jerry) Brutkiewicz of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Covenant Harrison Hospital. He was 91 years old.
Jerry was born in Saginaw to Herman and Celia (Nowicki) Brutkiewicz. He married Diana Lopez on March 10, 1953 in Orange County, California; she survives him.
He graduated from St. Mary’s High School, class of 1948. He proudly served his country from 1951 – 1954 in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was employed by The Kroger Company as a meatcutter, and retired after 42 years of service. He was a faithful member of SS. Peter & Paul Church. He enjoyed many years of playing blooper ball and participating in bowling leagues. Jerry was also an avid builder and flyer of radio-controlled airplanes. He lived in the home which he built and raised his family for more than 60 years.
Surviving are his wife Diana, children Sandy Palfrey and her partner, Bill BonDurant, Randy (Sue) Brutkiewicz, and Jean (John) Cameron, grandchildren Aaron, Alex and Amy, and many dear friends.
