Gerald J. LaRocque Sr., 84 of the Holiday City South section of Berkeley Township, NJ passed away on Monday February 26, 2018 at home. He was born in Perth Amboy, NJ; he grew up in Iselin, NJ then lived in Passaic, NJ before moving to Holiday City South 25 years ago.

Gerald proudly served in the US Army and the US Air Force during the Korean War. He was a Police Officer with the Woodbridge Township Police Department for 27 years. He also drove for Raritan Valley Bus Service and the Loori Bus Company.

Gerald was a parishioner of St. Catharine of Siena RC Church in Seaside Park, NJ where he was very active and also an Usher. He was a member of PBA Local 38 in Woodbridge, NJ, a Life Member and Commander of VFW Post 10185, Berkeley Township and also a life member of the American Legion.

Predeceased by his two children Leslie and Gerald Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife Patricia (Czarnecki), his eight children; Brian E. of Colonia, NJ, Thomas C of Fords, N J, Thomas Maat of Toms River, NJ, Peter Maat of Mahwah, NJ, Patricia Anne LaRocque of Toms River, NJ, Linda Marie Abourashed of Middlesex, NJ, Donna L. Blackman of Maple Shade, NJ and Christine M. Scott of New Milford, CT, twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren
