He was raised and educated in Canada. Gerald married the love of his life Simone (Godin) on August 11, 1952. They shared sixty-four wonderful years as husband and wife. They moved to the United States in 1959, Gerald then founded Gerald J. Fournier Construction Co. in Lynn, MA where they lived until 1992 when they retired to Largo, Florida. Gerald had many passions in life, but nothing compared to his love for his family and friends. He enjoyed traveling especially road trips, fishing, playing cards and helping others.
