Gerald F. Cole, 87, Anderson, died December 14, 2004 at St. Johns Health System, Anderson Indiana after a sudden illness.
He was born March 2, 1917 in Hartford City, Indiana, and resided in Anderson, Indiana. He was a lifelong resident of Anderson.
He retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors after 32 years of service. He served his country in the US Airforce during WWII. He was very proud to be a US veteran that was a member of the 509th Composite group that dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima. He attended First Pentecostal Church.
He is survived by his His loving wife of sixty years: Esther Wallem Cole. Son: Stephen Cole of Anderson. Also surviving are two brothers, Loren Cole of Del Rio, Texas and Marion & wife Wilma Cole of Coure D’Alene, Idaho and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded by his Parents: Guy & Bertha Brown Cole. Two Sisters.
