Georgia Violet (Johnson) Hills, 92, of Nampa, passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2018 surrounded by family and friends. She was born April 4, 1925 near Moreland, Idaho to D. C. (Bud) and Bessie Johnson.
While still a baby, the family moved to Jerome, Idaho for about a year and then to Olds, Alberta, Canada where her father homesteaded. When Georgia was nine, the family returned to Idaho and farmed in the Jerome area where she also received most of her education.
Life changed considerably when ill health took Frank, the lifelong love of her world. She ‘changed gears’ but remained active at the Senior Center until 2012 when a serious car accident required that she leave her home and move to Karcher Estates.
Faith in God was always the cornerstone of her life. She taught Sunday School for many years, preferring middle school age because they needed the stability that God provides. Even in her declining years, she was a great encourager to her caregivers.
Georgia is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Ron Bean; three grandchildren and spouses, Sara (Kevin) Iwersen, Eric (Kelli) Bean, and Heidi (Chad) Kilwein, seven greatgrandchildren and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2002; her brother, Earl, and four sisters: llena Dorman Decker, Hazel Holmes, and Edna Reeder Book.
