Georgia Darr, 93, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 24, 2019 with her loved ones by her side. She was born on the family homestead near Briggsdale, Colorado in 1926 to Hiram and Anna Hill. She grew up on the family farm and attended Salem Country School for eight years. She went to high school in Briggsdale, Colorado for two and a half years, a half year in Kimball, Nebraska while living with her sister Ida’s family, and completed her senior year at Greeley High School in Greeley, Colorado graduating in 1943.
In the fall of 1943, Georgia went to Roswell, New Mexico, where her brother, Robert, was stationed at the Roswell Army Air Field.
