Georgia B. Carter (Carr) Hall

June 18, 1934 – April 1, 2016

Georgia B. Carter (Carr) Hall of Layton passed away on April 1, 2016 at South Ogden Post-Acute Center in Ogden. Georgia was born June 18, 1934 in Quentin, MS to Charles Carter (Carr) and Jessie Mae (Cameron) Carter. She spent her childhood years in Quentin and she was educated in Brookhaven MS school system.

Georgia married Clarence V. Hall Jr. on March 16, 1951 in Bude, MS and they moved to Ogden Utah later that year. Georgia and Clarence were married for 59 years before he passed away on January 17, 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother Leon Carter (Carr) and a sister Bernice Carter (Carr) Blunt.

Georgia was a great mother who spent her days as a housewife and raising her four children. She enjoyed fishing, quilting, reading and gardening. She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Ogden were she rededicated her life to Christ.

Georgia is survived by two daughters, Linda (Larry) Heath of Ogden, Annette (Bill) Law, TX; two sons, Ricky Hall, OH and Marvin Hall, SLC; five grandchildren; Kara (David) Evans, Ogden, Natalie Heath, AZ, Anthony (Courtney) Law, WA, Cheryl Law, TN and Jeremy Hall, China; six great grandchildren; Alexis, Miles, Isaiah, Brittany, Deanna, Alysa all of Ogden. Georgia also has one surviving aunt, Faye Imes of Lorraine, OH and one nephew, numerous nieces and cousins.

A special thanks to Dr. Carl Gray, Dr. Clyde Faucett, South Ogden Post-Acute Center and Bright On Hospice staff for the care that they provided to our mother over the past few years.

Additionally, the family would like to express our sincere thanks to the entire Second Baptist Church family for their many prayers and words of comfort as well as our deepest appreciation for all acts of kindness displayed during these most challenging times.
