Georgette Wenzel, age 72 of Milford and West Haven, wife of the late Joseph Wenzel, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Golden Hill HCC in Milford. Born in Bridgeport on September 7, 1942, she was the daughter of the late George B. and Freida Travis Rogers. Georgette was known for her wonderful cooking and baking skills, her lemon meringue pie being most memorable and was a gifted seamstress, handcrafting Barbie doll clothes for her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters; Rita Longo of North Haven, Sharene Boothroyd of West Haven and Colleen Burg of SC.; her seven grandchildren, Stephanie, Phillip, Crystal, Jacquy, Vicki, Amber and Lawrence and ten great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Eleanor Calder, Sharon Yetman, Tommy, Gary and Curtis Rogers and many loving nieces and nephews. Georgette was predeceased by her son, William Z. Stuart and three granddaughters, Lisa Burg and Jessica and Teresa Boothroyd.
