George Wayne Love, 60, of 279 North Fork Road, Martinsville, died on March 10, 2010 at his home. He was born on July 30, 1949 in Franklin County to Charlotte Pendleton Love of Collinsville and the late Kyle C. Love. Mr. Love was a 1967 graduate of Fieldale-Collinsville High School and attended Danville Community College until 1969 when he enlisted in the Air Force. He was stationed in Portugal and the Azores during the Vietnam Conflict and was discharged in 1973. He was a member of McCabe Memorial Baptist Church and owned and operated George Wayne Love Construction Company. Surviving in addition to his mother are two daughters, Melissa Maria Zimardo of Huntington Beach, CA and Laura Kate Love of Rocky Mount. One sister, Mary Love “Sissy†Simms of Fredricksburg and two brothers, Kyle T. “Jigger†Love of Fieldale and Rick Love of Collinsville. He has one granddaughter, one niece, and one nephew.
