George W. Jeffreys, age 84, formerly of Destin, FL, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 in Decatur, AL. He was born on May 1, 1931 in Town Creek, Lawrence County, AL to William H. and Hattie Mae Pate Jeffreys. He honorably served his country for over 20 years and had served in Korea, before retiring from the USAF as an MSgt. He worked locally for Vitro after his retirement as an Electronic Technician.
He is preceded in death by his wife Eva Jeffreys in 1990. He is survived by 2 brothers and 1 sister, Woodie Jefferys (Faith); Helton Jeffreys ( Wilma) and Sybil Kiser.
