George Willard Jackson, SFC Retired (affectionately known as “Husband”) was born in Ardmore, Oklahoma on May 1, 1936, to the union of Annie Mae Young and Joy Jackson. He is predeceased by both. Mr. Jackson transitioned from his labor to his Heavenly reward on Sunday, October 31, 2021. He attended Paul Quinn College in Waco Texas from 1954-1956 receiving an associate degree in Police Science. He joined the United States Air Force in 1956 and served there until 1960 when he transferred to the United States Army. He said, Army made him an offer he could not refuse.

George Willard Jackson was a Christian, having a deep and close relationship with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was a kind and loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother uncle, cousin, and friend. He had various hobbies including watching the Oklahoma Sooners and going to the Dog track to see friends. If he could help someone with any aspect of their lives and livelihoods, he would do so with a smile. He never asked for a return favor. He especially loved the neighborhood children and would repair and buy bicycles for those who wanted one.

George Willard Jackson is survived by his loving and supportive wife JoAn Gilmore-Jackson, whom he called “Doll” and shared with everyone that she was the best thing to happen to him other than being in the military. His children: Pastor Anthony (Victoria Adams) Woodfork, Jaymee Pulley-Thomas (Loren “LO” Hooks), Evelyn Beltram, and Petra Osbourne; Goddaughters: Thea Carter, Jackie Pinelle-Anderson, and Erika Hatchett-Plascencia; Favorite niece Jayvetta Jackson; grandchildren: Wayne Thomas II (Nookum), Laquisha Maldonado, Isaiah Woodfork, Waverlynne Brown, Chris Beltram, Natasha Beltram, Andrew Beltram. Special friends: Virginia Chacon, Pastor Donald A. Frazier, Mildred Frazier, Herman Gay, Eunice Carter, Michael Romero, Rodney Mccree, Cathy Mccree, Scott Androes, LouAnn Androes, the Pugh Family and Wallace Broadnax. He is also survived by his sister-in-law: Evie Gilmore-Jackson, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to his parents, he is also predeceased by his sister, Isom M Davis, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
