George Conger, 93, of Lakeside, Michigan, died November 19, 2009 at the Sanctuary at Holy Cross, South Bend, Indiana. George was born March 28,1916 in Chicago to George and Bertha (Cobb) Conger Sr.
He served his country in the US Air Force and married Rosina Balazic on August 27, 1949 in Benton Harbor, Michigan. Rosina preceded him in death on August 7, 2006. George was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Three Oaks, Michigan. He was employed as a supervisor at Plastic Masters in New Buffalo. George enjoyed tinkering around his house and yard and visiting with friends as he took his daily drives. He also enjoyed needlepoint and created some beautiful wall hangings.
Survivors include his sister in law, Alice (Graham) Henry of South Bend, three nieces, one great niece and eight great nephews.
